What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Additionally we can send you a Paypal invoice, accept wire
transfers, checks, and purchase orders from qualified governmental organizations and universities. If paying with a check your
order will be placed when your check clears. We do not accept money orders.
Can I pick up my boat to save on shipping charges ?
We ship all of our boats directly from the manufacturer so pick up is not possible from our Chicago, Illinois location. One thing to
keep in mind is that even if you were able to pick up your boat, shipping charges to get the boat to the pick up point would still
apply and be imbedded in the price of the boat.
Will sales tax be added to my order?
We are located in Illinois and are required by law to collect sales tax on all sales made to Illinois residents. We do not collect sales
tax for sales made to other states.
Are there any other taxes other than sales tax that I am responsible for paying?
You may be responsible for state use tax depending on the state you are in, the type of product you purchase, where you intend to
use the product and whether or not you are exempt from the tax. A use tax is a tax on a purchase made out of state that is
shipped in state. It generally applies to cars, trailers and boats. Use tax is usually collected by a state when you register the
purchase with the state.
If you live outside of Illinois and your state has a use tax you may be responsible for paying this tax when you register your boat.
Use tax is usually the same rate as your state sales tax rate. To determine if you will be responsible for use tax you should check
with your state’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
We find it noteworthy that many of our competitors do not mention use tax on their websites. We believe in full disclosure and
don’t want any surprises for our customers.
Are the boats you sell covered by warranty?
Yes if you are non-commercial user (i.e. you don’t use the boat in a business). Warranties vary by manufacturer, see individual
product pages for more information.
If you are a commercial purchaser (i.e. you intend to use our products in a rental business, guide business, at a resort, or in any
other type of commercial setting) please be aware that Lakeshore Managers LLC and the manufacturers we represent DO NOT
provide warranty coverage for any of the products we sell. The one exception is that the manufacturer of the Pedal Crusier 2 & 4
pedal boats provides a 1 year parts warranty for commercial and non-commercial users.
Can my ordered be canceled?
Yes, but you must contact us within 24 hours of placing your order.
If your order has not yet shipped it may be cancelled with no charge.
If your order has been shipped you will be charged 1) the original cost to ship the product to you 2) the cost of shipping the
product back to its origin 3) a 10% to 30% restocking fee for the item depending on the manufacturer. NOTE: trolling motors and
boat trailers, once shipped CAN NOT BE CANCELED even if bought as part of a boat, motor and trailer package.

How does delivery and offloading work?
When your order arrives at the terminal closest to your location, the freight company will contact you by phone to arrange a
delivery window. DELIVERY IS CURB SIDE ONLY meaning that the freight company is not responsible for unloading the item
from the truck or moving the item after it’s unloaded. In most cases the drivers are friendly and will help, however WE
RECOMMEND THAT YOU HAVE ONE OR MORE PEOPLE PRESENT TO HELP YOU UNLOAD.
What if my boat is damaged or missing parts when it arrives?
Unfortunately damage during shipping happens occasionally. If it happens to you rest assured we will do everything possible to
help you get your issue resolved as quickly as possible. Below are instructions on what to do if your item arrives damaged.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO UNWRAP OR OPEN YOUR ORDER AND INSPECT IT AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY. Do not let
the delivery driver rush you. Once you sign for the boat it is nearly impossible to get the shipping company to reimburse you for
damage.
If you discover minor damage or missing parts you may at your option keep the boat but YOU MUST NOTE THE DAMAGE
OR MISSING PARTS ON THE SHIPPING BILL BEFORE THE DRIVER LEAVES. If possible take pictures of any damage. If you do
not note freight damage or missing parts on the bill of laden at the time of delivery, the freight carrier WILL NOT compensate you
for the damage.
If you discover extensive damage to your order then you should refuse delivery of the order and call or email us as soon as
possible. A replacement boat will then be ordered.
If damage is present when in doubt you should refuse delivery.
See our sales & returns policy
What if I ordered the wrong product or decide I don’t want the product?
We offer a 7 day grace period from the date the product is received. (The exceptions are: boat motors which may not be
returned.) If you 1) have a returnable product 2) are within the 7 day grace period, and 3) the product is in new and undamaged
condition, you may contact us for a return authorization and instructions. Once you have the return authorization you must
rewrap the product in its original packaging or equivalent. Round trip freight costs and a 10 to 30% restocking fee will be
subtracted from you refund. RETURNS MADE WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION WILL BE REFUSED DELIVERY AT THE
WAREHOUSE.

I live in a remote area, can I order a boat?
Yes, however if the freight company cannot get a truck to your location, you will be responsible for picking the item up from the
nearest freight terminal OR the closest location to your location that the truck can access. If you are located in a remote area you
may experience longer transit times.
Do you offer expedited shipping?
No. Since most of our products are heavy and/or bulky items, they may only be sent via ground freight.
Do I need to register my boat?
It depends your state's laws. Please check with your state's DNR for more information.
Do you keep a listing of boats that have been discontinued?
Yes you can see discontinued boats by clicking on this link discontinued boats
